Commenting on reports of sporadic violence in Srinagar, the waving of Pakistani flags and incidents of stone pelting, security expert Praful Bakshi on Friday said such events were taking place because of the state administration's inability to maintain law and order.

"It has always been happening. Pakistan waits for an occasion like this, whether, there is an happy occasion, auspicious occasion, or joint meeting between the PMs, or any other important development which will bring India and Pakistan close, then this Pakistan Army-sponsored or ISI, or Taliban-sponsored activity in the Kashmir Valley takes place in the form of Pakistani flags, stone pelting and slogans etc.," Bakshi told ANI.

"So, what we are seeing, we will continue to see, because, our law and order situation in Kashmir is not very appropriate to stop it," he added.

Bakshi further said that Pakistan is taking advantage of India being a soft state and of India's soft approach.

"So, either India improves its approach, or, continue facing it," he said

Terror flags and Pakistan flags were raised before namaz in Srinagar's Eidgah area on Friday.

There were reports of stone pelting as well. Security forces fired tear gas shells to disperse protesters from the area.
