From her very first look in 'Udta Punjab,' Alia Bhatt has amazed us in her never-seen-before Bihari avatar, but it was not a bed of roses for her to portray the role of Pinky.
In a recent interview, the 23-year-old actor said that being a girl, who has grown up watching Govinda films, Mowgli, Lion King and other English movies, "it was the biggest challenge ever, to play that character," reports the Dawn.
The 'Highway' actress had "absolutely no reference point" to the character she portrayed.
"It took lots of discussions with Abhishek (Chaubey, director). He gave me the perspective I didn't have. Then, I made it my own," she said.
"I could never react naturally, the way Pinky (her character) does," added Alia.
Further, speaking about Gauri Shinde's yet-to-be titled next, the 'Kapoor and Sons' actress said that "working with Shah Rukh Khan was a big deal.".
"Excited" Alia added that she is "dying" for people to see a glimpse of it and that "girls will relate to this film.
