President Mukherjee condoles passing away of Diptosh Majumdar

President Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of senior journalist Diptosh Majumdar.

In a condolence message to his wife, Smt. Rinku Majumdar, the President has said, "I am saddened to learn about the passing away of Shri Diptosh Majumdar.

Shri Majumdar was a well-known journalist who worked in senior positions in print as well as electronic media. He was admired for his integrity, professionalism and ability to go in-depth into stories as well as discover nuances beneath the surface.

In his death, the nation has lost a distinguished media personality.

Please convey my heartfelt condolences to the members of bereaved family. I pray to the Almighty to give your family and you the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss".

Majumdar, 55, was the national affairs editor with NewsX news channel.
