President Mukherjee extends greetings on National Day of Kuwait

President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Amir and people of Kuwait on the eve of the National Day of the state of Kuwait.

"On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, I am pleased to extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Highness and to the people of the State of Kuwait on the occasion of your National Day," President Mukherjee said in his message to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait.

The President said India deeply values its friendly ties with the State of Kuwait, marked by close people-to-people contacts.

"The positive contribution of the Indian community in the development of Kuwait is an important pillar of our excellent bilateral relations. I am confident that our mutually beneficial ties will continue to diversify and strengthen in the years to come," he added.

"I take this opportunity to convey to Your Highness my best wishes for your personal good health and well-being, as also for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the State of Kuwait," he added.
