Pujara's ton puts India A on top on opening day of four-day match against South Africa A

Captain Cheteshwar Pujara led India A to a strong start in the four-day match against South Africa at Rustenburg with a gritty 140 off 268 balls, as India A finished at 281/3 on Day 1.

Rohit Sharma too impressed with a knock of 70 not out from 159 balls including 8 fours and one six.

For South Africa A, Wayne Parnell, Andrew Birch and Simon Harmer, all took one wicket each.

India had earlier won the toss and elected to bat first.
