Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday said that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi's recent accusations on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) were baseless and demanded apology from the leader.
"Rahul Gandhi has lied and made baseless allegations that the RSS was involved in Mahatma Gandhi's murder. It is preposterous, malicious and false," said Ravi Shankar Prasad.
"He does not have any knowledge on the commissions' reports and I demand him to apologize for his statement. The Election Commission must take serious action against him," he said.
Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked RSS, blaming it for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.
He also ridiculed senior BJP leaders for claiming credit for introducing computers in India.
"RSS people killed Gandhi and today their people (BJP) talk of him. They opposed Sardar Patel and Gandhi," Rahul said while addressing a public rally here in Thane district.
