Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh on Sunday remained defiant while reiterating that Old City of Hyderabad is the mini Pakistan.
"I don't think I have said anything wrong because if any terrorist activity takes place in any part of the country, the terrorist is arrested form Hyderabad. Recently also few renowned terrorists were arrested from there. There are number of sleeper cells who have taken shelter in Hyderabad. So, what should we call it?" asked Singh.
He said that he has raised this issue a number of times in the Telangana Assembly but the Chief Minister of Telangana has never took this matter seriously.
"I have requested the Chief Minister to conduct a search operation in Hyderabad old city; they would be able to find bomb and other explosives from number of houses. But the Chief Minister of Telangana has never tried to take such steps, because he just wants to garner Muslim vote from that region," he said.
Earlier in the day, the police registered two separate cases against Singh and the president of an organisation Darsgah Jihad-O-Shahadat (DJS) Abdul Majid for promoting enmity among the public.
According to sources, on May 7 during an interview to a news channel, Singh allegedly stated that Old City of Hyderabad is the mini Pakistan.
He also claimed that he was preparing the private army and training the youth with the lethal weapons to fight with others.
On May 12, Majid had conducted mass drill with arms and lathis at Hazrat Ujale Shah Edigha ground and gave provoking speeches to the participants.
