Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said the good governance that was exiled by Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party(BSP) in Uttar Pradesh would get its 'gharwapsi'(home coming) when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forms the government in the state.
"The good governance that was exiled by Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party in Uttar Pradesh...we will bring(Ghar wapsi) it back by making government of the Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) in the state," he said.
Singh also defended the November 8 decision by the Centre by calling it as the "move taken in the national interest".
"I want to clarify that demonetisation shouldn't be seen as a political move but as a move taken in the nation's interest," he added.
Singh also said that the BJP's Parivartan Rally has laid the foundation of change in Uttar Pradesh.
Speaking on demonetisation, the Union Home Minister said the decision to impose a ban on Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 currency notes should not be seen as an election issue.
He further said that the demonetisation move has also helped fight terrorism as many accounts of the Naxalites have been seized post the announcement of the drive.
