Spanish giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been banned by FIFA from signing new players in the next two transfer windows.
The development comes after both the clubs lost their appeals against a ban for irregularities in the signing of foreign players under 18, Sport24 reported.
The world football's governing body had sanctioned both the clubs in January, but they temporarily avoided the ban during the recently-concluded transfer window in view of their appeal.
