'Relieved' Rogers terms himself 'biggest beneficiary' of 'wily' Swann's retirement

Australian Ashes hero Chris Rogers has said that he is probably the biggest 'beneficiary' of England spinner Graeme Swann's retirement from the international game.

The shock of Swann suddenly giving the game away after Australia reclaimed the Ashes following the third Test in Perth has been the most dramatic example of England unravelling on this tour.

According to News.com.au, said Rogers, a left-handed opener who no longer has to deal with the ball turning away from him, admitted that life without the wily England off-spinner was just that little bit easier, adding that he is probably the biggest winner out of Swann's retirement.

Rogers also said that there have been times when he has felt very good at the crease and comfortable except for Swann, adding that Swann was the one player he has always found difficult even just to score runs for which, it is not going to be mentally exhausting having to face England's attack now that Swann is gone.
