Richard Gere and Padma Lakshmi, who dated for six-months, have parted their ways, it has been revealed.
According to a source, the couple recently decided that they would be better as friends, the New York Times reported.
The 44-year-old Top Chef host recently confirmed in a television interview that the she was single.
Lakshmi was earlier married to author Salman Rushdie for three years until they divorced in 2007.
