Rihanna is set to file a 5-million-dollar lawsuit against UK retail giant Topshop over alleged unauthorised use of her picture on their products.
The 25-year-old singer was reportedly angry after finding out that the High Street Fashion chain had been selling women's T-shirts printed with an image of her from her 'We Found Love' video and is apparently taking legal action after eight-months of negotiations with the firm - owned by billionaire Sir Philip Green.
A source told the New York Post that the Barbadian artists' asked Topshop many times to stop selling her image and were told, "We do what we want."
The source said that they offered her 5,000 dollars and said that they didn't care.
Rihanna has reportedly hired international lawyers Reed Smith to sue Topshop in London, the Sun reported.
The t-shirts are only being sold in the UK - where the photographer owns the rights of the images.
The source said that even though British laws don't protect the artist's interests, she has decided to move forward and sue Topshop and has spent almost 1 million dollars in litigation at this point.
