Technology company based out of Shenzhen - China, Riversong Technology Private Limited, on Thursday announced the appointment of Gurbinder Sodhi as their new sales director for India business operations.
Sodhi has joined the organisation, with a rich experience of 24 years in the Information Technology (IT) and telecom industry.
"It's our pleasure to have Gurbinder Sodhi on board, a man who holds a very powerful and positive reputation in the industry. We feel that he will be a valuable asset to the organisation. He is known for his rich experience with renowned players in the market, which will impart value to our business, especially for our expansion plans to capture 10 percent of the market share, by 2018 in India," said founder, Riversong, Liu Chunming.
He started his career with Titan Industries, Varanasi in 1998. He has also worked at Whirlpool India, as a strategic business unit head from 1999 to 2008.
Sodhi later joined Samsung in July, 2008 as a deputy general manager with exposure to various industries like FMCG, consumer durables, and retail.
During the due course of career, Sodhi has been conferred with numerous awards which recognised his contribution for the craft and defined his success in brand achievements.
He was felicitated by the QBR Award from the president south-west Asia, for turning around business for Samsung's key retail chain in the south zone.
His vision for Riversong is to cater to the masses by opening more than 30,000 outlets within a year, majorly focusing on the regional market.
He aims to position the organization as the most innovative smart gadget brand in the Indian market.
