Robert DeNiro named highest paid TV actor in US

The salaries of the highest earning US TV stars of the past year have been revealed and the top slot has been bagged by none other than Hollywood veteran Robert DeNiro.

According to The Independent, DeNiro is scooping USD 775,000 for his role in the upcoming untitled Amazon television series from director David O. Russell.

The second place went to NCIS star Mark Harmon with USD 525,000.

Five Stars of HBO's blockbuster series 'Game of Thrones' also made the list, with each star earning USD 500,000 per episode.

The names included are Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion), Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Lena Headey (Cersei).

Meanwhile, in the comedy category, the main star cast of 'The Big Bang Theory' which includes Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, Johnny Galecki and Kunal Nayyar bagged USD 900,000 per episode.

Though they all took pay cuts to ensure their female co-stars Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch were paid more money.
