Robert Redford has revealed that he loved playing an almost totally-silent role in his new drama 'All Is Lost', which is based on a man lost at sea.
The Oscar-winning actor, who is the only on-screen actor in the flick, told CBS News that for an actor like him the role was a choice situation.
The veteran star said that words would've gotten in the way of what the director, J.C. Chandor, was trying to portray.
Redford said that the near silence from the main character will allow the audience to come in and be part of the experience with the actor.
