Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers would reportedly make sure that his squad does not forget the pain of throwing away the Premier League title in order to keen them inspired for future title challenges.

Rodgers said that Liverpool's 3-3 draw to Crystal Palace on Tuesday, which has virtually handed the title to Manchester City on a plate and ended his side's 24-year wait for the championship, is probably the lowest he has ever felt in football.

According to the Daily Star, Rodgers said that when a team comes in after losing a match the boss knows that the players are low and the easy thing is to get into players and batter them, but his squad knew what they had done after throwing away a 3-0 lead to Crystal so he actually chose to say nothing to them.

The Northern Irishman added that there is a great deal of learning for the likes of Jon Flanagan, Raheem Sterling, Joe Allen and Philippe Coutinho, that would come out of the Crystal game and all these players will go through this again and would be better prepared for it.

Rodgers also said that Liverpool is still in it to the very end of the season, but if it does not work out that way then they would learn from those experiences and he added that he can guarantee that his squad will be better next time.

The Premier League trophy is set to land in City's hands and Liverpool only have a chance at winning the trophy if Manuel Pellegrini's men loose their title decider against West Ham United on Sunday and Rodgers' squad beats Newcastle United at Anfield, the report added.
