The rumors of Apple developing biometric earpods, with heart rate and blood pressure sensors, turn out to be fake.

According to TechCrunch, the rumor spread through an anonymous Tumblr account, the owner of the account later posted that it was meant to be a joke and there were no intentions to do what happened.

The leaker apologized for being 'an accident troll' and promised to think twice before posting something on Internet.

The rumor was considered 'believable' by many, after a report that discovered that Apple hired wearable computing expert Eric Winokur who had worked on an "ear-worn wearable vital signs monitor.
