Russell Crowe has revealed that he looked into Scientology when he became pals with Tom Cruise.
The 51-year-old actor, whose parents chose not to baptize him so that he could explore his own beliefs, explained that from a young kid, he was quite interested in religion, E! Online reported.
The 'Noah' star added that when he met Tom Cruise, who was then married to Nicole Kidman, they were spending a bit of time together so he thought he'd find out a little bit about what he was into.
Crowe added that he found a video in the video store about Scientology and he watched it, noting that it wasn't that informative, but he brought it up with Cruise and thought he was really cool.
Crowe, who never ended up joining the Church of Scientology, added that Cruise didn't try to sell him a pair of shoes and just said, "If it's something that interests you, you'll pursue it.
