Russia has recommended the U.S. led-international coalition fighting against the Islamic State to be more careful while planning airstrikes on extremists in Syria to avoid deaths of civilians.
"We again call on the leadership of the anti-IS coalition to be more careful when planning the airstrikes of the alliance's parties on the positions of terrorists in Syria," Tass news agency quoted Russian Foreign Ministry's spokeswoman Maria Zakharova as saying.
She also said that Russia has repeatedly stressed that such actions would worse the sufferings of the Syrian civilians.
Zakharova noted that at least 43 civilians were killed in airstrikes by the US-led coalition in Raqqa on June 3 and the coalition's missile and bombing, raid targeting a group of refugees, left more than 30 people dead.
She further informed that more than 200 Syrians have been killed as a result of the coalition aviation's actions in Raqqa and its outskirts in last one month.
Asserting that irresponsible military tactics is unacceptable for the anti-terrorist alliance, Zakharova said this casts doubt on the efficiency of these steps.
She added that Russia is open to talks with all concerned parties on the de-escalation zones and enhancing the ceasefire in Syria.
