Ryan Reynolds is certainly one proud father to his children, who he thanked while accepting 'Entertainer of the Year' award at the '22nd Critics' Choice Awards.'

The 40-year-old actor took home several big awards including 'Best Actor in a Comedy' for his hitmaker 'Deadpool' but instead of bragging about himself, he couldn't help but gush about his wife, Blake Lively, and their two daughters, reports E! Online.

Reynolds, being the sarcastic joker he is, noted at the end of his speech, "I want to thank my wife, and for no reason at all, I suppose my children" after taking the time to thank many people in his life and in the making of the movie.

Later in the show, he accepted the award for role in 'Deadpool', which he said he "prepared nothing" for. Thus, he dedicated the beginning of the speech to Tom Hanks.

"No really though, you're a huge influence on me," he addressed the famous actor, continuing, "My two-year-old daughter [James], the first full sentence she ever said was, 'There's no crying in baseball.'"

Reynolds' 'Deadpool' also won the 'Best Comedy' beating out other contenders like 'Central Intelligence', 'Don't Think Twice', 'The Edge of Seventeen' and 'The Nice Guys.'

Natalie Portman, who starred as First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963, bagged the 'Best Actress' award for her stunning role in the biopic.

Casey Affleck and Lucas Hedges won the 'Best Actor' and 'Best Young Performer' respectively for their roles in 'Manchester by the Sea' amongst other contenders like Ryan Gosling, Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington.

While 'La La Land' and 'Moonlight' took the top prize in the film category, on the small screen, 'Game of Thrones' and 'Silicon Valley' took top honors in the drama and comedy categories, respectively.
