Sania-Dodig battle into French Open mixed doubles quarters

Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza and her Croatian partner Ivan Dodig displayed a determined performance as they progressed through to the quarterfinals of the French Open in the mixed doubles event here on Wednesday.

The second-seeded pair recorded 6-7 (8), 6-4, 10-8 win over French pair of Alize Cornet and Jonathan Eysseric in the second round.

Earlier in the day, Indian challenge in the men's doubles event came to an end after Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna lost their respective quarterfinal games in straight sets.
