U.S. Special Coordinator for Tibetan issues, Sarah Sewall, recently met officials of the Central Tibetan Administration in Dharamsala and reportedly discussed issues related to Tibetan refugees in India.

Sewall arrived in Dharamsala from Kangra Airport in Himachal Pradesh along with an eight-member delegation.

Secretary of Social and Resource Development of CTA, Ngodup Dorjee, said he had received the American delegates.

"On behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), I received them. They wanted to visit CTA Dharamsala and also some of the projects funded by the state department," said Dorjee.

The eight-member delegation is on a two-day visit to India.

According to a press release from the US State Department, Sewall will announce a new award of USD 3.2 million for a Tibetan Health System Strengthening Project to universalise access to quality health services to end child and maternal deaths and create tuberculosis free communities for Tibetan refugee communities in India and Nepal.
