'Saturday Night Live' is going to add Sasheer Zamata to its cast, after all the controversy regarding lack of black women on the program.

Zamata comes to the NBC sketch program from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, which is co-founded by Saturday Night Live's alum Amy Poehler, the Huffington Post reported.

After Kenan Thompson vowed to no longer portray black women in drag, many questioned whether the show would indeed add a black woman in order to portray celebrities such as Beyonce and First Lady Michelle Obama.
