The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected the plea of jailed Sahara chief Subrata Roy for being placed under house arrest.

The apex court, in its latest ruling, also gave permission to the Sahara Group to sell off nine properties for the Rs. 10000 crores for securing bail for the jailed group chief.

Roy was sent to jail along with the company's two directors, Ravi Shankar Dubey and Ashok Roy Choudhary, for failing to refund Rs 20000 crore to investors.
