A scuffle broke out between two Sikh groups inside the Golden Temple premises here on Saturday on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of 'Operation Blue Star'.
Brandishing swords, the people raised 'Khalistan Zindabad' slogans inside the temple premises.
The police is verifying the antecedents of five to six people, who appeared to have started the violence inside the temple premises.
According to reports, around 25 Sikh youths have been detained by the police.
Various Sikh organisations had earlier observed the anniversary of 'Operation Blue Star' at the Akal Takhat in the Golden Temple.
Adequate security arrangements were made by the Punjab Police to prevent any untoward incident.
