Samajwadi Party leader Gaurav Bhatia on Thursday said the seat sharing slight was the prime reason for his party to quit the Janata Pariwar ahead of the Bihar polls.
"It is very unfortunate that the larger parties which were part of the Janata Pariwar, namely the Janata Dal United (JD-U) and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) didn't even consult the national leaders of the Samajwadi Party, and there was no deliberation regarding seat sharing between these parties." Bhatia told ANI.
"The Samajwadi Party has got a strong organisation and the workers felt that they should independently contest the Bihar election. This decision has been taken", he added.
