Blue tints are the best way to attract attention to Instagram pictures, a study has revealed.
According to a US marketing firm Curalate's research, people are drawn to photos with blue tints, which yield 24 per cent more likes than predominantly red or orange images, News.com.au reported.
Apart from blue tints, happy snaps with a high proportion of background space also attract viewers' attention as they generated 29 per cent more likes than images that are closely cropped.
The agency scoured analyzed 8 million Instagram pictures for 30 different factors, including color and saturation, to work out what makes a photo popular with other users and revealed that a photo was more likely to be liked if one color dominated the composition.
