Selena Gomez goes low- key for her 25th

It seems Selena Gomez wanted to celebrate her 25th birthday with the people who meant the most to her - the fans.

The 'Fetish' singer celebrated her 25th birthday with an intimate party instead of having a glamorous night out in the town, surrounded by her loved ones, several teal and white balloons and two small round cakes adorned with candles.

She shared pictures from her party - as well as her gratitude.

She took to Instagram to share some photos of the joyful celebration with her 123 million fans, and thanked them by saying, "Thank you for all of my bday love. I could not be more blessed. A lot of you don't realize how much you mean to me. I. Love. You."

In lieu of gifts, Gomez -- who has battled lupus for years -- encouraged her friends, family and fans to donate to a cause that is near and dear to her heart: The Lupus Research Alliance.

Her boyfriend ' The Weekend', who played his last European show in Paris that night, wasn't there, but was on his way to be for his lady love on her special day.
