The martket opened flat on Monday following the trends from the global cues. The Sensex slumped down 7.86 points trading near 26211.05.
Nifty, on the other hand, slipped 70.95 points trading near 7910.95.
Experts believe that the market is quickly sliding away with sectors such as cement, auto and private sector banking performing out of the trajectory.
Hindalco, SBI, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank and HDFC performed weak whereas, Tata Motors and Maruti were among the top gainers.
