It is a melodious joy for Shafqat Amanat Ali's fans as the Pakistani singer has recently released his song 'Dil Dharakne Ka Sabab' starring veteran Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah.

Tabloid media revealed that the song, which based poet Nasir Kazmi's ghazal, is an ode by a forlorn lover to his beloved, reported the Dawn.

Speaking about the song, which has previously been sung by the likes of Madam Noor Jehan and Pankhaj Udaas, the 50-year-old singer said that in the current scenario contemporary music pulls a person towards itself but he has been brought up differently.

He added that he does not shy away from contemporary music, but he implements most of his learning through the independent projects he works on.
