Shane Warne is set to release an album of love songs in a bid to become the "new James Blunt".

The 44-year-old Australian former international cricketer said that the song is basically about life and he is just putting it down adding that it could be absolute rubbish but he still wishes to make an attempt, the Daily Star reported.

Sources revealed that his friends compared his vocals to that of the 'You're Beautiful' singer.

Warne penned a ballad about his split from Elizabeth Hurley and is probably working with Coldplay's Chris Martin to polish the song.
