Sharif reaffirms support for army 'actions against criminals'

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reiterated his support for the military in its "actions against criminals" and gave his approval for extending the fight against terrorism to urban centres.

According to the Dawn, Sharif also praised the achievements made b the Zarb-i-Azb operation that will enter its next phase in July.

The Prime Minister's comment came during a meeting with the country's General Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif.

According to the Prime Minister's Office, the meeting was held to review the progress in the internal and external security situation in the country and the Zarb-i-Azb operation.
