Shia LaBeouf suffered a massive head injury after a stunt went wrong during filming in North Dakota, and has been hospitalised.

According to TMZ.com, the 29-year-old 'Transformers' star had to go through 20 stitches and 13 staples on his head and finger on the sets of 'American Honey.'

Tabloid media reported that the scene required LaBeouf to put his head through a glass window, but something went wrong and the actor cut himself badly.

His representative said that the actor had "sustained minimal injuries," and as per protocol, production sought out medical attention and Shia received stitches on his hand and for a laceration on his head.
