Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday announced Rs 1 crore compensation to kin of the prison guard who died today after he was attacked by an undertrial prisoner at a police station in Bhind on September 9.
The Chief Minister also announced a government job to one of his family members and granted him the status of a martyr.
The incident was captured on the CCTV camera, where an undertrial prisoner was seen viciously attacking two prison guards at a police station in Bhind.
While one guard was referred to Delhi for better medical treatment, the other one was admitted at a district hospital in Bhind. However, the guard who was referred to Delhi passed away earlier today.
