Sidharth Malhotra, who is basking in the success of 'Kapoor and Sons', will be next seen in the remake version of Yash Chopra 's 1969 film 'Ittefaq'.
According to a leading daily, the 31-year-old actor, who is very excited to work on this project, finds the script brilliant and said the movie will be a new screen character for him.
An insider revealed that the remake film, which would be produced by Red Chillies, Dharma Productions and BR films, is currently in prep, the reading session with the actors will begin soon and the film is likely to go on the floors by the year end.
The 1969 mystery movie, which was a remake of the British film 'Signpost to Murder', starred Rajesh Khanna and actress Nanda in the lead roles.
It was the fourth Bollywood film after 'Naujawan,' 'Munna' and 'Kanoon' which did not have any songs in it.
Meanwhile, Sidharth is currently shooting in Miami for Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's untitled action film alongside Jacqueline Fernandez.
