West Indies coach Phil Simmons has admitted that his side have been hurt by the criticism of their body language, and called on his wounded team to show more intensity on the field.
Earlier, Australian spin great Shane Warne had called on the Caribbean side to lift the tone of the game and try to come on the field with much more intent.
West Indies continued to display shoddy fielding in last weekend's tour-match against a Victorian Invitational XI in Geelong as fine-leg fieldsman Jerome Taylor missed a catching opportunity because he was leaning on the fence while facing towards the crowd.
Coach Phil Simmons admitted that the criticism of their fielding was fair, adding that the bowling coach Curtly Ambrose had been urging his players to raise the intensity of the game, News.com.au reported.
West Indies suffered a humiliating innings and 212-run defeat in Hobart, which triggered widespread criticism from former greats on the current plight of the islanders' stand in the international cricket.
West Indies are currently trailing 0-1 in a three-match series against Australia and the two sides will next lock horns in the Boxing Day Test in Durban.
