Andrew Silverman has rubbished claims made by Lauren's friends that he knew about her relationship with Simon Cowell from the start, according to reports.

Lauren's friends have said that she was upset at the allegations that she cheated on him saying that he knew about it, but Andrew's close friend said that even she knows that Andrew was absolutely unaware, TMZ.com reported.

Sources revealed that Andrew reacted to Lauren's claim that he partied with girls all over the world but didn't earn any flak, as 'a desperate attempt to smear him'.

Lauren and Andrew have been spending time to sort things between them and keep things normal for their 7-year old son.

Andrew Silverman has filed for divorce from his wife, Lauren Silverman, who is 10-weeks pregnant with Cowell's child, citing 'adultery' as the reason.

The estranged couple has filed for divorce and hopes to make their split official as early as this week.
