Slash could be in for a huge financial blow as his wife may be planning to take half of his fortune away as divorce settlement.

According to TMZ.com the couple hadn't signed a prenup at the time of their marriage back in 2001, and Perla Ferrar, who is legally entitled to 50 percent of his money, has reportedly hired a lawyer to look into his earnings.

Even though she can't lay hands on G-N-R loot pre-marriage, which is enormous, Ferrar believes he has made 10s of millions of dollars since they married, and now the 49-year-old musician's real property, album sales and other assets are being assessing.

Slash, who has filed for divorce last week, has released 5 albums since they wed, including one with his band Velvet Revolver that went double platinum.
