Scarlett Johansson will be starring in the upcoming live-action 'Ghost in the Shell' film.
The 30-year-old beauty, who has emerged as a action babe through her recent works, is on board for DreamWorks' adaptation of the anime, which would be helmed by 'Snow White and the Huntsman' director Rupert Sanders, the Verge reported.
The 1995 animated film, whose live action version has been penned by Bill Wheeler, is itself an adaptation of the manga of the same name, and follows Motoko Kusanaigi and her security agency squad members on their search for a malicious hacker named the Puppet Master. The film blooms into a masterpiece about technology, sex, and paranoia.
Johansson's action film credits include the Marvel flicks, 'Lucy' and 'Under the Skin.
