Neerja Bhanot's biopic starring Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor in the main lead will release next year on February 19.
The biopic, named 'Neerja' is based on the life of Bhanot, who sacrificed her life to save the lives of hijacked passengers on PanAm flight in Karachi in 1986.
In a statement, Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios said Neerja's story will be an inspiration for all, adding that she was one of the unsung heroes of India.
Helmed by Ram Madhvani, the upcoming film will also feature actress Shabana Azmi, who will portray the role of Neerja's mother in the flick.
