Google Maps has a new feature in-the-making which will allow users to create public events with ease.
Android Police spotted a new bit of documentation on the Google Maps Help site that hinted at a process to add a public event through the Android app. The feature is currently live but it is not available for everyone.
The feature, called 'Add a public event' allows users to submit events similar to the public events being shown in Maps. The option appears in the main 'contribute' tab of the 'your contributions' sections, as well as in a new 'events' tab of the same section.
With the feature, you can add a name to the event, provide a location and time, pick a category of the event, describe it, and also provide a website.
