Square Yards opens gateway for investors; to focus on dollar appreciation

India's largest real estate transaction platform Square Yards announced entering into exclusive distribution rights with developers in the United States to bring in their property investment products on its platform.

The real estate company recently tied up with two US based developers New York based Barworks Inc and Chicago based InvestUS Property to bring their quality offerings to its investors in India and across the globe.

Bar Works is a fast emerging operator in the co-working space market, operating two venues in New York's Manhattan, with a third opening soon in Manhattan's West Village a thriving affluent neighborhood.

Co-working is now the fastest growing sub-sector of the commercial property market in cities around the world. Bar Works Inc. is one of the very few branded operators in this sector, which targets the mid-market.

On the other hand, InvestUS Property is a Chicago based firm that specializes solely with 'off-market' projects, which are not available to the general public. It sources property below current market value through strategic relationships in the banking and finance sectors in the US and then able to sell the property for a minimum 20 percent NET return within a six month time period.

Most of such deals ensure fixed returns and have low initial payment plans built in for regular investors. For example- an investment into Bar Works would only cost the investor USD 25,000 (approx. Rs. 17 lacs) for a single unit and it allows investors to gain a guaranteed monthly rent up to 16 percent with a buyback option available at 125 percent of the sale price.

Indian investors have shown a lot of activity in investing in overseas properties. The Euro crisis has further emboldened the future prospects of the US Dollar, which is expected to appreciate further.

Any investment thus, gives the investor a chance for not only benefitting from capital appreciation but also Dollar appreciation as well.
