Sri Lanka Police have confirmed conducting a raid on the Tangalle home of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa in search of a luxury Lamborghini sports car.
Police, according to a Lanka Page report, said that the raid was undertaken on receipt of a tip-off.
Tangalle Police said that before carrying out the raid, they had obtained a search warrant from the Tangalle Magistrate's Court to do so.
The police spokesman and Senior Superintendent of Police Ajith Rohana was quoted, as saying that no Lamboghini was found on the premises of the former president.
