England fast bowler Steven Finn will replace injured Ben Stokes in the squad for the third Test against Pakistan at Edgbaston, according to skipper Alastair Cook.
25-year-old Stokes suffering a calf injury and limped off the field midway on the fourth day of the second Test at Old Trafford, which England won by 330 runs to level the four-match series 1-1.
The injured all-rounder is expected to miss the rest of the Test series after scans confirmed he had torn a calf muscle in his right leg, the Guardian reported.
Last week, England selectors had announced a 13-man squad for Edgbaston Test, which included Jake Ball, Finn and Adil Rashid.
Cook subsequently picked experienced Finn over fellow paceman Jake Ball for the test, which starts from Wednesday.
