Australia all-rounder Shane Watson has insisted that he still has a lot of Test cricket left in his tank, saying that he is willing to work hard in order to re-present his case to the national selectors.

The 34-year-old was dropped after the first Ashes Test due to a poor run of form with the bat and was subsequently replaced by all-rounder Mitchell Marsh.

Watson, a veteran of 59 Test, said that although he deserved to be dropped from the Test team after Cardiff Test, he would continue to push to get the best out of himself and play, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

The all-rounder further said that he still feels he is only getting better and improving in all formats, insisting that he wants to keep playing as he long as he is enjoying it.

Watson also conceded that he was disappointed in himself that he couldn't able to perform well enough to be a part of an 'exciting' Ashes series.

Australia are trailing 2-1 in the five-match series with the fourth Test at Trent Bridge starting on Thursday.
