Forward Luiz Suarez stole the show on Sunday night as his brilliant second-half goal helped Barcelona brush aside arch-rivals Real Madrid 2-1 in a pulsating El Clasico thriller.
Defender Jeremy Mathieu put Barca ahead in the 19th minute before Portuguese star striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored an equalizer following a Karim Benzema pass 12 minutes later for Real.
However, Suarez drilled in a stunning goal shortly after the first-half to leave the hosts four points clear at the top of La Liga, the BBC reported.
With the win, Barca are now strong favourites for the Spanish league title, establishing a four-point lead over their arch-nemesis.
