Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hailed his visit to France by stating that he had been able to cover 'substantial ground' during his visit to Paris, adding that he will always cherish the enthusiasm accorded to him during his visit to the European nation.

The Prime Minister took to twitter to share his sentiments.

"Thank you France! Substantial ground was covered during my visit. Thankful to French Govt and people. Will always cherish the enthusiasm," he wrote, also posting a tweet in French.

Following a successful trip of France, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to travel to Germany. He will later fly to Canada for the final leg of his three-nation, nine-day tour.
