The 77th annual convention of presiding officers of legislative bodies will be inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan here on Saturday.
The conference would see the participation of Speakers and Deputy Speakers from 30 states as well as Chairmen and Vice-Chairmen of six Legislative Councils.
State assembly Speaker Mata Prasad Pandey will deliver the welcome address at the convention, which is being hosted by the state after 30 years.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is also scheduled to address the convention.
