Sushma to meet again with the kins of stranded Indian workers in Iraq

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj would be meeting again with the Family members of stranded Indian workers in Iraq who are likely to hold a protest in New Delhi on Monday , June 30 to mount pressure on the Centre for safe return of their wards to their homes.

It is pertinent to mention that to attract the government to their demands the family members were to stage "Dharna" at the "Jantar Mantar" on Friday. The family members expressed that they were not satisfied with the progress in finding their children in Iraq and they were not happy till their children return safely.

Gurpinder Kaur, sister of Manjinder Singh who amongst the allegedly abducted in Iraq with other 40 Punjabi boys informed ANI that she has received a call form an official from the Punjab government that they have fixed an appointment with EAM tomorrow at 3pm to put their point of views before the minister.

She said, "After meeting the minister they would decide about the "Dharna" at the "Jantar Mantar."

Hira lal, brother of Sonu of Chamunda Davi village who is amongst the 40 Punjabi youths said , " after June 15 they have not received any call from Sonu".

He said that they are praying for the safe return of all the Indians and hoping that the government would escalate their efforts to bring back their children safe and sound.

Meanwhile, Swaraj would be meeting with the Indian envoys of Iraq's neighboring countries tomorrow morning, to take fresh stock of the escalating crisis in Iraq before she meet with the families.

On June 18 too Sushma had a meeting with these families and assured them help and told them that she has been monitoring the situation herself.

Families of Indian workers in Iraq hope for the safety of their loved ones and appeal to the government for accelerate their energy and force to find out their children and bring them back home.
