A man in Haryana's Jind district has allegedly killed his minor daughter. The incident is suspected to be a case of so-called honour killing.
The incident took place in the Kandela village of the district.
The family tried to quietly cremate the body but the police reached the spot on time and got the fire of the pyre doused.
Samples of the victim's remains have been collected for further investigation.
The cops have registered a case of murder against the girl's father.
